You will learn drafting workbenches that are used to create 2d drawing from 3d models. You will learn surface workbench used is widely used for BIW, plastic design, etc.You will be learning workbenches that are widely used by different design departments. Methods, practice, tools, workbenches, shortcuts etc are taught based on the industry expectations. You will be learning advanced and industry ready techniques in CATIA, while simultaneously working on multiple projects which would give your profile an edge over your peers.ĨHow is this course going to help me get a job? Tools, workbenches, approaches etc explained here are the same as what the industry follows, so it will be easy to crack a tool test to get into core mechanical companies.ĦWhich companies use these techniques and for what?Īutomotive, aerospace, shipbuilding industries use the workbenches covered in the course for applications such as plastic design, jigs and fixture design, BIW design, etc.ħHow is your course going to help me in my path to MS or PhD?.You will learn to create a presentable CAD model for displaying your startup ideas.Part and assembly workbench are covered which can be used for jig and fixture design. This course will cover drafting workbenches that are used to create 2d drawing from 3d model. This course will cover surface workbench which is used in BIW, plastic design etc.Students attending this course should be familiar with Mechanical Design and Windows OS.5What is the real world application for the tools and techniques you will teach in this course?.This course is aimed at Mechanical Designers with limited or no CATIA V5 experience.Produce simple drawings and assembly layouts.Plan the construction of a part in order to convey its.

Understand and use the CATIA V5 interface. This introductory-level course provides a high level understanding of the main productivity tools and workflows of CATIA V5. There will be an overview of some advanced CATIA functions before building an assembly from existing components with the final session covering the creation and annotation of 2D Drawings. The student will understand the interface and philosophy of CATIA V5, how to create geometry from sketch profiles and subsequently dress-up this geometry. After this course the student will be able to understand and use the many of the most commonly used CATIA V5 functions. This CATIA Fundamentals course is the first course in the CATIA V5 curriculum and is the starting point for many CATIA V5 Learning Paths.
